As employment law solicitors, when advising clients on redundancies, we clarify that pension rights fall outside the realm of a compromise agreement. Employees should contact the trustees of the pension scheme to obtain any relevant information, such as, whether to freeze their pension or transfer the rights. For redundancy purposes, any such issues will not be dealt with in the compromise agreement.
